AJB Bumiputera 1912's Mitra Abadi dollar-denominated product is an insurance program designed to provide lifetime protection, ensuring that your loved ones are looked after financially once you have gone.

Planning for the future is all very well, but none of us can be certain how long we might live. If our life is cut short though unexpected illness or accident, how can we be sure that our families will remain financially secure without us there to provide for them?

With Mitra Abadi, you can rest assured. By making regular payments over the term of the program you will get lifetime insurance protection, and when you pass on, the entire sum insured will be paid to your designated beneficiaries.

Mitra Abadi is marketed in U.S. Dollars with a premium payment period ranging from 3 (three) years up to 20 (twenty) years. As a pure insurance product, Mitra Abadi provides death coverage for 100% (hundred percent) of the sum insured, except if the insured passes away during the first 2 (two) years of the policy. In the case of death due to accident, the heir remains eligible for the maximum coverage, i.e. 100% (hundred percent) of the sum insured.

Eligibility
To become insured, you must be between 15 (fifteen) years and 55 (fifty five) years, but the insured does not always have to be the Policyholder.

Mitra Abadi does not require a physician's examination (non medical), especially for those who are below the age of 50 (fifty) years or who want a sum insured less than U.S. $ 40,000 (forty thousand dollars). Above that age or amount of coverage, Mitra Abadi requires a medical policy in accordance with the applicable underwriting.

Mitra Abadi is offered with a minimum premium of USD 100 (one hundred U.S. Dollars). If you would rather not deal with currency fluctuations and the obligation to pay premiums on a regular basis, you can pay the applicable premium in one lump sum.

In case of premature death, in addition to the inheritance as mentioned above, your heirs are entitled to a refund of premium deposits as specified in the deposit premium table.
